HERENESS KICHIJOJI opened on February 28, 2026.

Kichijoji sits along the Chuo Line, a key route leading toward the mountains, making it a kind of gateway to outdoor fields. Centered around Inokashira Park, the area still retains traces of the old Musashino landscape, and is blessed with abundant water, including the Tamagawa Aqueduct.
In his essay Musashino, Doppo Kunikida wrote:

“Those who stroll through Musashino should not worry about losing their way. Whichever path you take, wherever your feet lead, there will always be something to see, to hear, to feel. The beauty of Musashino can only be discovered by wandering aimlessly along its countless intersecting paths.”
Kunikida wrote this essay in 1898—nearly 130 years ago—but its appeal remains unchanged. In fact, the area has grown into a rare kind of town where, in addition to enjoying nature, you can browse secondhand bookstores, explore outdoor shops, and savor great coffee.
We felt that HERENESS users—who enjoy exploring both nature and culture—would feel right at home here, which is why we chose this location for our second store.

By the way, the magnolia tree in Inokashira Nature and Culture Park has a trunk circumference of over 375 cm, making it the thickest tree in any Tokyo metropolitan park. Like that tree, HERENESS KICHIJOJI hopes to take root and grow steadily in this place.
